The German sculptor and object artist deals with important sociopolitical topics. “Kebap Monument” is one of the artworks, in which the artist explores the clash between Western and Islamic culture. Whereas the sculpture “Turkish Delight“ (2007), representing a naked woman with a headscarf, caused controversies, “Kebap Monument”, a construction made of aluminium and acrylic glass, approaches the issue of migration and Islam through reflections on Turkish Cuisine.
